Welcome to Subtextual Healing @ IJ!

Severus Snape is my One True Character, and I'm an unrepentant Potterverse pairing whore.

Much of my fic is intended for mature readers; please read my headers before reading my fics, and note that I generally don't provide warnings for fics under 1000 words.

Summer is coming!

  • Feb. 21st, 2015 at 2:30 PM
*shakes off snow*

Greetings, SSHG fen!

The [info]sshg_promptfest will be accepting prompts from 10-16 March for its 2015 summer run. With that in mind, I thought I'd remind you that the purpose of the Severus-Snape-Hermione-Granger Prompt Fest is to explore the relationship between Severus and Hermione by showcasing new, stand-alone fan works, and that there are several ways to participate. Prompters offer inspiration to creators, creators offer art and fic to the community, and the community offers comments and recs to everyone. Anyone 18 or older is welcome, including newbies!

Check out our previous offerings from July 2013, January 2014, and July 2014.

If you're interested in participating in the [info]sshg_promptfest, please review its schedule, rules, and submission guidelines (scroll down to read them all), and don't hesitate to email your questions to sshg.promptfest [at] gmail [dot] com.

See you in March!

Hello, flist! I hope you're well and happy during this busy time of year. *hugs* My year's been so busy that I've hardly had any time for writing, but I did manage to write 4357 words )

Here's hoping that 2015 will bring with it more time for fandom. See you next year!

Towards the Disputation of Territory (G; Severus, Crookshanks; 327 words)

  • Aug. 23rd, 2014 at 11:30 AM
I just checked the [info]sshg_giftfest sign ups and saw that eleven artists and twenty-four writers have signed up to participate! *dances*

If you've not yet checked out the fest, I invite you to read more about it! I can't wait to receive my assignment, so I've written a ficlet dedicated to [info]amorette and [info]delphipsmith for modding the fest. Thank you, [info]arynwy, for beta'ing. :D

Towards the Disputation of Territory: When it comes to Hermione, Severus and Crookshanks are of the same mind. )

Wand Work (PG; OMC, implied Snarry; 130 words)

  • Aug. 16th, 2014 at 10:00 AM
Hiatus involves a lot of waiting, so I've been doing a bit of writing—still on hiatus, though. *waves goodbye for now*

[info]crystalusagi prompted me with Snarry: meddling, and I wrote a future ficlet set in the Getting Severus Married universe. Thank you, [info]arynwy, for beta'ing!

The Happy Animals Club

  • Jun. 6th, 2014 at 10:17 PM
Happy Animals Club is a non-profit no-kill animal shelter project in the southern Philippines, started by a 9-year-old boy with help from international donors.

I just became one of those donors in memory of Andy and because Ken, the little boy who runs the shelter (with help from his "involunteer" dad), is a remarkable, caring young man doing great good work in the world. Check out his website and see for yourself, and if you're as moved as I was to read about Ken's efforts on behalf of stray dogs, consider donating in support of the Happy Animals Club.

Call for HP prompts

  • May. 21st, 2014 at 6:40 PM
I'm feeling well enough to be bored (but not well enough to do anything, damn it!), which is not a condition that I enjoy; hence, I'm accepting HP prompts for egg-timer drabbles.

For gen, prompt me with one to three characters and up to three, one-word prompts.

For femslash, het, or slash, prompt me with one pairing or threesome and up to three, one-word prompts.

Feel free to attempt to stump the pairing whore. :P

"Lucille" update & question

  • May. 19th, 2014 at 10:11 AM
I'm laid up with a double ear & sinus infection (hurrah) and forgot to say that Josie went home later the same day that we found her; she'd got out of her yard. *relieved*

On a completely unrelated topic, I'm curious: where are you spending the majority of your fandom time? What fandom or fandoms hold the lion's share of your interest?
